As reported by the New York Post, Jessie Mae Lambert had been struggling with sudden seizures and visual disturbances since October last year.

During these moments, she lost control of her body, which frightened her.

As she had never had similar symptoms before, she went to her GP in the hope of finding help.

The doctor quickly diagnosed that it must be panic attacks and prescribed her anti-anxiety medication - a fatal misdiagnosis, as it later turned out.

Jessie's mother, Trish, remained skeptical and insisted that her daughter be hospitalized to get to the bottom of what was really causing the seizures.

Her intuition was correct: at the hospital, the doctors found a brain tumor!

The 27-year-old British woman was shocked, but she knew that she had to act quickly.

She underwent a high-risk operation to remove as much of the tumor as possible. However, due to the location of the tumor, only around 40 percent could be removed.

Since then, regular radiotherapy has been part of her daily routine and she will be under medical observation for the rest of her life.

Jessie fights her way back to a normal life

Despite the serious diagnosis, the British woman wants to share her story with the world. She feels misunderstood by her GP and is committed to ensuring that people with health problems do not hesitate to seek a second opinion.

Jessie herself had sensed deep down that there was more to her symptoms than just panic attacks.

To raise awareness of the symptoms and help other sufferers, the 27-year-old now documents every step of her treatment on TikTok.

She now goes back to work one day a week to bring some normality back into her life.
