Deployment in a cuddly costume: this is why a police officer becomes a capybara

Lurín (Peru) - Tough times call for tough measures ... or something like that. That's probably what Peruvian police officers thought during a raid. One of the officers was dressed as a capybara (also known as a capybara).

The Peruvian police posted a video of the crazy raid on X (formerly Twitter).

At the beginning, the COP-ybara can be seen strolling along the streets of the Peruvian city of Lurín with two companions and a "very dangerous" looking plush turtle backpack.

In front of a house where drugs are said to be stored, a quick photo is taken with a few curious passers-by, and then it's time to make a move.

All of a sudden, the nature of the previously clumsy capybara changes and it storms through the door of the house. Although it gets stuck in the door frame due to its voluminous backside, with a second jerk it is in the drug stash.

Once inside, it immediately pounced on the drug dealer, who just looked at the oversized capybara in complete bewilderment and allowed himself to be arrested without putting up any resistance.

In the house itself, the officers subsequently found more than 1700 packets of cocaine paste and marijuana.

3 ... 2 ... 1 ... Access! The Capybara policeman squeezes through the door frame and pounces on the drug dealer.

The plan worked - the drug dealer was overpowered and arrested by the disguised police officer.

Successful arrest: Capybara policeman is celebrated

The video also shows the drug dealer being taken away by a police officer and the capybara, the plush turtle backpack was of course present during the entire operation.

In the last scene of the short video, all the evidence is once again presented on a table, with a police officer, the arrested dealer and the COP-ybara standing behind it, triumphantly raising its paw in the air.

So it seems to be true: Not all superheroes wear capes, some also carry a plush turtle backpack!
