Death flames spread to Hollywood! Celebrities have to give up their homes
Los Angeles (USA) - The devastating forest fires in the west of the USA have also reached the celebrity paradise of Hollywood! Many stars have already lost their homes and others have had to flee.
On Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), a number of Hollywood stars are currently sharing information about their difficult strokes of fate.
Among them is Paris Hilton (43). She posted a TV clip on Instagram showing the devastated villas in the Hollywood Hills. Underneath, the 43-year-old wrote: "I'm sitting here with my family in front of the TV watching our home in Malibu being razed to the ground by flames."
The property of Jamie Lee Curtis (66) was probably another victim of the sea of flames. The Oscar winner speculated in a post on Instagram: "My neighborhood and probably my house is on fire right now. My family is safe, but many of my friends will lose their homes."
In addition to the two film stars, Thea Gottschalk (79), the ex-wife of Thomas Gottschalk (74),is also affected. Fortunately, she was able to escape the chaos in time and fled south to San Diego.
Stars have to flee from the flames, presenter Ricki Lake with emotional message
Talk show host Ricki Lake (56) was hit particularly hard. She posted an emotional message on Instagram in which she wrote: "Everything is gone. I can't believe I'm writing this right now. After a long battle with the firefighters, I lost our dream home. The word dream house is not enough to describe what this place meant to me. It was our heaven on earth, where we wanted to grow old together."
Along with these words, she published a series of pictures with many memories of her idyllic property in the Hollywood Hills, which she lived in with husband Ross Burningham.
Other stars who had to flee the flames include Tom Hanks (68), Ben Affleck (52), Jennifer Aniston (55), Bradley Cooper (50) Adam Sandler (58) and Tokio Hotel star Bill Kaulitz (35).
Star Wars icon Mark Hamill narrowly escaped the inferno
For actor Mark Hamill (73), best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" films, the situation got dicey.
He wrote on Instagram: "I was evacuated from Malibu around 7pm. The flames were already on both sides of the road when we left. This is the worst fire since '93."
