The garden where the alligator was located was not actually freely accessible. The animal must have climbed over a fence to get there.

It was quickly located thanks to typical hissing noises.

As Dragich had just come straight from a family meal, he didn't have his equipment with him. Fortunately, there was a garbage can nearby - and this was quickly converted into fishing gear.

With skill and experience, Dragich drove the alligator into a corner. When the animal snapped, even the professional was briefly startled. But his plan finally worked: The alligator climbed into the garbage can and he was able to close the lid.

It didn't end well for the alligator

When asked what happened to the animal afterwards, Dragich later explained in an interview on FOX 35: "Due to its size and the immediate danger to local residents, the alligator was classified as a threat and now ends up on the menu.

According to Dragich himself, he always donates the meat of the animals he catches. He plans to return to the affected residential area to distribute it to the neighborhood.
