Copenhagen - Chaos at Copenhagen Airport: A man drove his car onto the airfield and paralyzed the Danish capital 's airspace for hours !

According to the Danish news channel TV2 Kosmopol, the police initially tried to check a Land Rover with Swedish license plates.

But the driver stepped on the gas, rammed the airport security fence at around 3.30 a.m. and fled on foot towards the tarmac.

It later transpired that the car had been reported stolen. As a result, the airport closed the entire airspace until 6 a.m.

Together with security staff, the police began searching for the man - even drones were used.

The driver is still on the run, but the manhunt continues. Police forces are still deployed around the airport.
