Marion (Florida/USA) - A 33-year-old woman will spend the rest of her life behind bars from now on. The reason: she allegedly killed her father. She also tried to kill her mother .

The verdict was handed down last week: Christina Adams will spend the rest of her life in prison, the Miami Herald and True Crime News reported.

According to the report, Adams stabbed both her mother and her father Richard Langer (†74) on September 16, 2022.

She explained to investigators what drove her to do it: Langer is said to have told his daughter, who lived on the same property as him and his wife, that she should find a new place to live by the next day.

Her sister was then to move into her previous apartment.

Too much for the 33-year-old. Instead of packing her bags, she devised a gruesome plan, which she put into action the next day: armed with a Taser and a knife, she went to her parents' house. There, she first killed Langer before also attacking her mother and stabbing her in the chest.

After she was sure that the two were dead, she went back to her apartment, cleaned up the knife and her clothes and then met her wife in a supermarket. Adams was arrested there shortly afterwards.

Her wife assured the officers that she had known nothing about the murder and had not noticed anything unusual about Adams.

Langer had previously called the emergency services as his wife had repeatedly lost consciousness. The two were taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery, but Langer succumbed to his serious injuries shortly afterwards.

The father of the family leaves behind eight children in addition to Adams.
