Corgi gets advent calendar: his reaction delights everyone

Toronto (Canada) - It won't be long before it's Christmas again. To sweeten the time until then, many people enjoy an advent calendar. Corgi "Hudson" can hardly wait either, as a cute video on Instagram shows.

When his owner places his annual Advent calendar in front of the eight-year-old male dog's paws, he can hardly contain himself. He jumps for joy on the spot, making his fluffy fur and ears swing.

"We've already received messages and comments about how much you look forward to Hudson's annual Advent calendar. We look forward to it all year too. Let the countdown begin," the post reads to followers.

And not only are they full of anticipation, but they're also having a great time with Hudson's jumping for joy.

"Okay, I'd do anything for him," gushes one user, for example. "He thinks life is all sunshine and lollipops," jokes another. The cute clip has since become a viral hit and has been liked more than a million times.

"Over the last few years, we've filmed Hudson opening a door every day for 24 days. People all over the world absolutely love it and look forward to it all year," Heather Kerrison told Newsweek.

Kerrison is Hudson's "auntie" and responsible for his Instagram channel: "Hudson is my twin sister's beloved 'child' and I have been running his account for the past eight years."

"hudsonthefluffycorgi" is already followed by more than 147,000 people, who look forward to new content from the Pembroke Welsh Corgi every day. But it doesn't just seem to be fun for the four-legged friend.

"We love connecting with so many people and Hudson makes it all possible. That's his magic," explained Kerrison.
