13-year-old found dead in diapers: Mother held her in garage!
Sebring (USA) - 34-year-old Diana Natasha Mack was arrested in the US state of Florida after she was suspected of abusing her 13-year-old adopted daughter.
According to the Daily Mail, the woman called the police to report that her daughter was lying motionless on the floor.
When officers arrived at the 34-year-old's home, they found the girl next to the front door.
The signs of abuse and neglect were so severe that even the experienced investigators were shocked.
According to the Highland County Sheriff's Office , the girl was in an extremely emaciated and obviously malnourished condition, wearing only a diaper.
Her body had multiple wounds, including cuts that appeared to have been recently inflicted.
The emergency services pronounced her dead at the scene.
Diana Natasha Mack is charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse
The police claim that Diana sought help far too late and allowed hours to pass after the girl was already unconscious on the floor.
She reportedly took her other four children to another town and then destroyed evidence on her return. In the process, she reportedly used chlorine in the garage and tried to clean up the evidence before finally calling 911.
When officers searched the house, they found horrible things. It is believed that the 13-year-old was held in the garage and abused over a long period of time.
A surveillance camera is said to have documented the cruel acts - a nightmare that can hardly be put into words.
It remains unclear how long the girl had been held captive there, but there are many indications that she had been tied to the garage door.
Diana Natasha Mack is currently being held in Highland County Jail and charged with first-degree murder and aggravated child abuse.
