USA - For many people, the cliché that dogs and letter carriers can't stand each other persists. In their minds, they have an angry, snarling four-legged friend lurking behind the garden fence while the letter carrier desperately searches for a way to the letterbox. A Chihuahua from the USA and postman Dan are the perfect example of how things can be very different.

Owner Lisa Laskey could point the camera at her dog "Frannie" every working day and would be lucky every time: the Chihuahua's joyful reaction to mail delivery man Dan is reliable.

As if the four-legged friend senses it intuitively, he stands at the front door at a certain time every day during the week and whines excitedly.

The reason: apparently the tiny dog can hear the delivery man's post van from afar and can hardly wait for his owner Lisa to open the door for him.

What happens next is truly heartwarming:

In a TikTok video posted by many, you can see Frannie shooting out of the front door like greased lightning, dashing across the driveway of the family home with his short little legs as fast as he can and greeting his best friend Dan.

Of course, he already knows the daily ritual and is visibly delighted to see the furry friend himself. He lovingly picks up his favorite "customer" in his arms and enjoys Frannie's wet slobbery kisses.

For anyone who hasn't yet understood the special bond between man and dog, the Chihuahua in the clip is even wearing a little sweater with the words "Postman Dan loves me" printed on it. And there's really no doubt about that when you look at Lisa Laskey's TikTok profile.

Dozens of videos show the cute encounters between Frannie and Dan. According to the US-American, the friendship between the two has existed since their first contact.
