Weight loss injection becomes a danger: mom of two spits up blood!
Scotland - Nicole Wright from Scotland wanted to lose a few pounds before her vacation in Turkey. But instead of focusing on long-term exercise and a healthy diet, the mother of two resorted to a different method - with fatal consequences.
Before her vacation in Turkey, Nicole tried to lose weight in various ways, but in the end she resorted to a weight-loss injection, which she hoped would give her quick results, reports Daily Mail.
She paid 120 pounds (about 143 euros) for it - not at a doctor's, but at a beauty salon.
A fatal mistake, as it soon turned out. The first symptoms appeared just one day after the injection.
Nicole began vomiting and suffered severe, unbearable pain.
Emergency room sends Nicole Wright home first
When the Scottish woman could no longer even keep water down and was suffering from severe stomach pains, she sought medical help.
At first, the doctors gave her an anti-nausea medication and sent her home again.
But when her symptoms worsened and she vomited blood, she was admitted to hospital.
The police then confiscated the medication from the beauty salon where Nicole had received the injection.
Despite intensive investigations, it has not yet been possible to determine exactly what substance was in the syringe.
