13 dog attacks in less than 48 hours: Police sound the alarm with shock photos
South Yorkshire (England) -Dog attacks are on the increase in a British region. The police have received shocking photos. Now the police are sounding the alarm! Pet owners are to be warned to "intervene before someone dies".
South Yorkshire Police report no fewer than 13 four-legged attacks in less than 48 hours.
A man in Sheffield was attacked by his dog - an American Bulldog - when he tried to separate it from another furry friend on his property.
The dog's owner suffered lacerations to his neck, head and face and was taken to hospital while police seized the vicious pet.
In the same town, an elderly lady and her grandchild were attacked by a loose dog. In addition, a woman had her child in a carrier on her stomach, which made an American Bully aggressive so that it jumped at the girl.
The girl was also left with bloody wounds, as shocking footage releasedby the policeshows . It is not only the fear of a possible fatality that drives the law enforcers.

"With dogs causing harm and fear in our communities, our forces continue to be stretched", the police authority makes it clear that emergency services may be missing elsewhere due to animal casualties.
However, caution is also required because on November 1, a child, ten-year-old Savannah Bentham, was actually killed by a dog in North Yorkshire.
