Man pays 500 euros extra for flight - reality has nothing to do with first class!

Dallas (USA) - No wedging around the armrests, no crowding when boarding and disembarking and plenty of legroom? Should be a matter of course on an expensive 1st classflight. But one passenger recently bitterly regretted his 500 dollar extra cost for the upgrade and vented his anger on social media.

American Airlines is repeatedly criticized on social media by dissatisfied customers.

A few days ago, an American man paid the equivalent of around 474 euros extra for his journey from Dallas (Texas) to Grand Rapids (Michigan) so that he could enjoy the more than two-hour flight in peace and relaxation.

But unfortunately nothing came of it!

"'First class' The guy [in front of me] is practically sitting on my lap," wrote the disgruntled passenger on his X profile with the name "Cova". He also posted a photo that wouldn't actually suggest that the man wasn't in economy class.

"You guys are terrible as usual," he directed angry words towards the airline American Airlines. "I can't use my table and I don't have a chance to get up. He urged the airline: "Get it fixed before someone else spends a fortune on first class and gets screwed."

The passenger vented his anger via X

American Airlines takes a stand: Refund? No way!

The man, who wished to remain anonymous, told Fox News that he also approached a flight attendant about the problem. "He shrugged it off and basically said, 'It's an old plane, some of these seats are worn out.'"

After some time, American Airlines even responded to the disgruntled passenger's accusations: "Our goal is always to keep our aircraft in top condition. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for bringing this to our attention," it said on X (formerly Twitter).

The problem would be immediately passed on to the maintenance staff for review. "We would like to apologize again." To which the passenger replied sarcastically: "Maintenance won't check the money I wasted either."
