Moscow - How could it have come to this? A successful lawyer was stabbed to death in the courtyard of a Moscow apartment complex. Her own daughter - the model Angelina P. (24) - is a strong suspect.

Angelina is brought before the magistrate with tears in her eyes. The young woman is said to have stabbed her own mother in the forehead. "It wasn't me. I didn't kill my mother," the suspect breathed in a broken voice.

And yet investigators are certain that the petite woman killed her own mother, Angela K. (†47), on the evening of November 12 on a playground in the luxurious Nikolin Park residential complex in the southwest of the Russian capital.

The next morning, shocked residents found the body of the successful lawyer in the middle of a pool of blood. A trail of blood led investigators to the apartment that the mother and daughter lived in until the end, reports the newspaper"Komsomolskaya Pravda".

According to the public prosecutor's office, the woman died from a targeted stab in the frontal lobe. The evidence against the 24-year-old was quickly corroborated: images from a surveillance camera show the young woman at the scene of the crime that night, and plenty of traces of blood and the alleged murder weapon - a handmade dagger - were found in the apartment.

The 24-year-old is also said to have bought a plane ticket to Italy, with a change of plane in Armenia, on the night of her death.

The magistrate at the Shcherbinsky District Court had no choice but to remand her in custody.

Angela K. was considered a loving mother who fulfilled her daughter's every wish and supported her in everything, reports the weekly newspaper AIF. A lawyer by training, she held high positions throughout her life and had a high income. She later founded a management consultancy and joined a bank after the coronavirus pandemic. She separated from her father shortly after Angelina was born.

"Angelina grew up in an atmosphere of love, care and respect," a relative told the newspaper. However, the girl was very moody and was used to "getting everything she wanted". The young woman tried her hand at acting and wanted to be a social media manager. Most recently, the 24-year-old apparently dreamed of a career as a model.

Mother and daughter actually got on brilliantly, according to people who knew them. But Angela K. may also have had a dark side. Stress at work and failed investments. The 47-year-old turned to the bottle more and more often, regularly sat on the bench in front of the house and got drunk on high-quality whisky, AIF reports.

The 24-year-old suffered greatly from her mother's drinking, relatives revealed. She found solace with her father, who lives in Kazakhstan. He also gave her the murder weapon: a handmade oriental dagger.

What exactly happened between mother and daughter on that fateful night is still not clear. Investigators found an opened bottle of whisky next to the dead woman. The young woman remains in custody for the time being.
