"Franco looked me in the eye and then shot my father": Man kills his girlfriend's dad
San Antonio (USA) - It is a bloody deed that raises questions. Outside a busy nightclub in Texas, a 32-year-old man shot and killed the 43-year-old father of his girlfriend. The background was apparently a dispute over the payment of the entrance fee.
The killer took a human life back in 2013, now he has killed again.
Christopher Fuentes was released from prison just a few days ago, reportedthe San Antonio Express. On Saturday, the 43-year-old wanted to toast his newfound freedom with his daughter Virginia and her boyfriend Franco Xavier Summers (32). During the course of the evening, the three decided to go to a dance bar together.
But they were never going to get there.
An argument broke out on the way to the bar because Christopher and his daughter refused to pay the entrance fee. According to the police, Summers got so angry that he started shouting at his girlfriend and her father.
The 32-year-old kept shouting that he had a gun.
Shooter arrested
When father and daughter got out of the car in the parking lot in front of the bar and slowly walked away, Summers took up the chase and drove after them.
Surveillance videos available to the police show the 43-year-old standing protectively in front of his daughter. Summers suddenly pulled out a black Glock and pulled the trigger again and again. Christopher Fuentes was pronounced dead at the scene and all help came too late for him.
"Franco looked me in the eye and then shot my father," the completely traumatized daughter told KEN5. "I keep seeing my father's face when he realized he had been shot. At night, the images keep running in my head, I can't sleep."
After the insane act, the killer fled to a nearby restaurant and was arrested by the police a short time later. He is now sitting where he belongs: in prison.
Shooting death in San Antonio: Killer was known to police
Now it has been revealed: It wasn't the first time Summers had killed. In 2013, he shot Roger Rodriguez Jr. (†17), the brother of his ex-girlfriend, reported"News4SA". At the time, Summers claimed to have acted in self-defense.
The charges were dropped.
Monica Penalver, the victim's mother, describes how Summers shot her beloved son four times in the back in front of her eyes. Why the killer got away with it is completely incomprehensible to her. "Why didn't they believe me when I told them what a monster this guy was?"
In 2019, Summers threatened his family with a gun and barricaded himself in his house. An hours-long war of nerves with the police ensued. He only had to serve two years for it.
It remains to be seen whether Summers will get off so lightly again. The police have classified his latest bloody deed as murder. The laws of Texas provide for harsh penalties.
