Horror attack: dog bites off influencer's nose!
Gällivare (Sweden) - Dog trainer Charlotta Oskarsson (35) loves her four-legged friends more than anything. She would never have thought it possible that one of her own animals would disfigure her so badly.
The 35-year-old and her husband live in the northern Swedish province of Gällivare.
Their family includes a sheepdog called "Terra" and the Caribbean bear dog "Prins".
But during the New Year fireworks, her otherwise idyllic life took a dramatic turn: Her eight-year-old dog Prins was frightened by the noise of the rockets and bit Charlotta's nose off, as the local news channel SVT Nyheter reported.
The Swedish woman had done everything in her power to minimize the stress for her bear dog, who is terrified of noise - but apparently without success.
Your nose is reconstructed in Germany
Charlotta was flown to hospital in a rescue helicopter, where she had to undergo several operations over the following three weeks, the Swede herself reported on Instagram.
Initially, her nose could be reattached, but a short time later the organ had to be operated on again and finally removed as it became darker and darker and threatened to die off.
The 35-year-old has to travel to Stuttgart to have her nose reconstructed, as no one in Sweden has the necessary expertise. Her new nose should be ready in February 2025.
Despite the dramatic incident, Charlotta does not blame her dog. She is convinced that the attack was not malicious, but was caused by the stress and fear that the noise of the fireworks triggered in Prins.
