The Ryanair plane was on its way from the Albanian capital Tirana to Manchester in England last Sunday.

As The Sun reported, a passenger suffered a "medical emergency". Afterwards, unrest broke out on board. A fellow passenger with first aid training immediately assisted the victim.

The plane was quickly diverted and had to land at Stansted Airport in London in the meantime.

An eyewitness reported that two crew members and three passengers stood by the victim until he landed.

Paramedics, the airport fire department and a rescue helicopter were already waiting at the airport, but unfortunately nothing more could be done for the man - he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The remaining passengers were asked to leave the aircraft temporarily. Around 90 minutes later, they were allowed to re-board with a new crew and continue their flight to Manchester.
