The two people are a 51-year-old man and a 45-year-old woman. The police of the canton of Uri did not initially want to say where the two came from when asked.

The two died in an accident on the north face of the Clariden on Sunday. The 3267-metre-high mountain is located in the Glarus Alps, around 60 kilometers south of Zurich as the crow flies.

According to the police, the two had had difficulties right from the start. What exactly caused the accident is still being investigated.

During a tandem flight, the guest sits in front of the pilot on a seat harness. Both are connected to the paraglider with safety lines. They take off together, running down a slope until they take off.
