Nidetzky began presenting the television series in 1972. He was head of the Vienna "Aktenzeichen" recording studio for a total of 30 years and helped to solve numerous previously unsolved cases with the help of his show.

According to the"Kronen Zeitung", the Viennese-born journalist passed away today, Monday, November 11, at the age of 84.

A particular highlight of his television career was probably the first moon landing in June 1969, which he was able to comment on as co-presenter.

The chancellor's family also mourns

Due to Nidetzky's death, Austrian Chancellor Karl Nehammer (52) postponed a scheduled exploratory meeting on this day in order to be there for his family.

His wife Katharina is the daughter of Peter Nidetzky.
