14 kilos! TikTok mom goes viral with giant baby: what happens next sends the web into a frenzy

California - Besides cats, dogs and memes , what's the biggest social media craze ? Obviously, babies! So it came as no surprise that US-American Madison Peltzer went viral just a few days after posting a photo of her six-month-old son.

Because Madison's child is not like other babies of the same age! "When your 6 month old [baby] is 31 pounds [14 kilos, editor's note]," she wrote in a short clip she uploaded to TikTok last week.

In it, the young woman can be seen looking into her camera. After a few seconds, she lifts her son into the frame. It immediately becomes clear that the "little" guy is not your average baby. The boy looks extremely tall for being only six months old and is also quite strong.

His mother is also aware of this: "We love a fat baby," can be read next to the viral video. She also claims: "He is in the 99th percentile for everything" - meaning he is one percent of the tallest and heaviest children in his age group.

The web was surprised and delighted in equal measure. The recording was viewed more than 11.3 million times within a few days on TikTok alone. So far, 1.1 million users have left a like for the giant baby.

But it didn't stop there - the video was reposted by numerous sites, including the women's page of the famous US sports channel ESPN.

Detroit Lions want to sign viral giant baby for their NFL team

On their TikTok channel, an NFL team then quickly spoke up: the Detroit Lions commented on the video with "Dibs" - thereby (jokingly) suggesting that they wanted to reserve the baby for their football team. After all, extremely heavy, strong and tall men are very important for some positions in football.

This comment also went viral and was shared countless times on Instagram, X and co. Of course, Madison Peltzer also noticed.

But the mom of the now famous boy was in no way offended by the Lions' cheeky comment.

Instead, she responded with another TikTok clip featuring her son once again. She wrote the words: "Give us a few more years and we'll be there." Her boy's career seems to be set in stone before he can even speak his first word.
