Woman wants to raise chicks herself: After hatching, the drama takes its course!
Hangzhou (China) - A woman in China wanted to raise a chick herself. But after the animal hatched, she made a terrible faux pas.

The woman, known only by her surname Yang, successfully hatched the chick in January using an incubator.
After hatching, the Chinese woman from Zhejiang Province went online to find out how she could best protect the chick from the low temperatures. She then found out online that chicks are often kept under a heat lamp to protect them from freezing. For this reason, Yang then purchased a heating lamp. The device was to be responsible for a tragic turn of events just a short time later.
According to the South China Morning Post, Yang recalls plugging the lamp into her bathroom, positioning it over the nest and then covering it with a cloth.
After about 30 minutes, the resident suddenly noticed a burning smell and discovered that the chicken coop had gone up in flames. The chick had been roasted alive . All that remained of the nest were charred remains.
What Yang had obviously completely failed to realize was that the towel over the heat lamp had quickly become so hot that it had started to burn.
Chinese woman wants to hatch chicks again
The Chinese woman publicly apologized for the incident via the newspaper. However, she had already bought new eggs, which she now wants to hatch again. Yang promised to take better care of the creatures this time.
On the internet, however, the woman is accused of cruelty to animals and people are demanding that the new chicks be taken away from her. Most users cannot understand why the resident overlooked the obvious safety risk when she put the towel over the lamp.
Other users advise the resident to use a less hot lamp in future to prevent another animal from becoming a "roast chicken".
