Poznan (Poland) - An unusual adventure took place in the Polish city of Poznan: Kumari the red panda escaped from an enclosure in the local zoo . The search for the panda lady began immediately - and the public was also called upon to keep their eyes open!

Last Monday, the red panda managed to escape through damage to the enclosure. When his absence was noticed, an intensive search operation was launched immediately.

The zoo also informed the public about Kumari's escape on Facebook and asked for help. However, it was pointed out that people should not approach the animal, but only report its location.

As red pandas are extremely good climbers, it was necessary to look out not only on the ground but also in treetops, for example.

The fugitive's adventure came to an end that same day when she was found in the parking lot of the local hospital. Firefighters and other emergency services caught the animal and placed it safely in a transport box.

Kumari is now back in her enclosure and has largely recovered from the stress.

"She obviously enjoyed her independent excursion very much. However, we hope that she will now stay with us and not go on another big trip ...", the zoo commented on the incident.
