Woman weeps bitter tears when she sees what was left behind in apartment building

Sydney (Australia) - She has been working in the real estate industry in Sydney for ten years. Cat Evans actually thought she had seen it all. But recently she was proven wrong. Because what she saw in an abandoned apartment building brought tears to her eyes.

Originally, her employees were supposed to view the property. But they desperately asked their boss for help when they discovered a bull terrier on the property. So the Australian set off.

"I was confronted with a property that was in an appalling state and had been very poorly maintained. Most of the rooms were damaged, and then there was this poor dog outside in a fenced-in side garden," the real estate expert explained in an interview with Yahoo News Australia this week.

The poor animal had been on its own for four days at that point, Evans said. "It was just the saddest thing I've ever seen. There was a bowl that I assumed was once filled with water that he must have tipped over. But nothing else."

She spoke out several times on TikTok after this experience. In one of the videos, Evans sits crying in her car.

When she tried to find an animal welfare organization to take in the four-legged friend, the next shock came for the woman.

Several clubs turned her away: "I called many other places. The local authority and the police couldn't help me either." Nobody felt responsible for the bull terrier. Eventually, Evans was forced to provide the animal with food and water herself.

One Saturday, the dog's owner suddenly turned up at the property. The bad image Evans had had of her up to that point collapsed at that moment.

In front of her stood a desperate woman, close to homelessness - presumably with serious mental health problems. "I held the woman's hand and told her everything was going to be okay," the real estate expert told Yahoo News.

A short time later, the knot finally burst. The NSW Bull Terrier Rescue stepped in and, after some back and forth, was able to take the dog into their care.

Evans is currently receiving daily updates. According to this, the furry friend is doing better again. However, her future is still uncertain.
