Almere (Netherlands) - When the cat's away, the mice dance on the table. Teddy and Indy seem to feel the same way. The two dogs from Almere in the Netherlands certainly gave their owner Mandy a big surprise. Because when the young woman wanted to see what her four-legged friends get up to when she's not at home at the beginning of the month, she looked through the window from outside.

Luckily, Mandy filmed the hilarious moment. In the video, which has since become a viral hit on TikTok , she looks at her dogs in the kitchen in the dark in the evening.

There, Teddy and Indy have made themselves comfortable exactly where they have no business being: on the dining table.

"I've caught Teddy sneaking around on the table before, but I never expected her to actually be sitting there waiting for me," Mandy explained in an interview with Newsweek this week.

"When I saw them sitting on the table like that, I had to laugh, because of course they shouldn't be up there," the Dutchwoman added.

But fur nose Teddy went one better.

Because the dog obviously couldn't see that her owner was filming her through the window, she barked like a reed sparrow - presumably to scare off a possible intruder.

Indy, who was also sitting on the table, seemed impassive. While Teddy got excited, she sat quietly, seemingly lost in thought.

In any case, the curious recording has been well received by the TikTok audience. More than 200,000 clicks have been accumulated since the beginning of the month.

Her mistress had already suspected this. "I thought I had to share the video of these two little troublemakers because I thought it was so funny myself - especially Teddy sliding across the table," Mandy told the US newspaper.
