Ohio (USA) - Enthusiasm looks different. Peyton Donovan has been with her boyfriend for a few months now. She finally met his dog Roxy at the end of January. But the animal clearly had no desire for the young woman from Ohio. Nevertheless, Peyton instinctively filmed the meeting and ended up with a viral hit - and the laughs on her side!

The clip, which takes place in Peyton's boyfriend's parents' house, starts off on a bad note. As Roxy slowly approaches the student, she gives her a look that is anything but enthusiastic.

When the dog finally arrives, she sniffs her foot briefly. Petting? No way! Roxy makes sure she avoids Peyton's outstretched hand and then quickly runs off. She's gone.

Even though the encounter was very frosty, the US-American was able to laugh about it shortly afterwards.

The TikTok audience has also been having a great time since the curious clip was published. There are more than 880,000 likes for every five million clicks.

But why doesn't the fur nose like Peyton?

"A lot of people commented on my video. Maybe she didn't like my Birkenstocks or my pedicure (...) but I think Roxy really likes me now," said Peyton in an interview with Newsweek this week.

Incidentally, she suspects jealousy behind the four-legged friend's initial rejection. "Roxy likes her time with Peter (...) He doesn't come home that often, so she wants to spend as much time with him as possible," is her assessment.

However, at the end of the interview, the young lady reveals some uncertainty about the actual status between her and the dog .

"When I'm there, I hope she likes having me around! I call her 'Roxy Gal'! It wouldn't be good to be disliked by my boyfriend's dog."
