Woman has baby at home: How three Golden Retrievers stand by her, touches so many

Nottinghamshire (England) - A woman from the UK decided that her daughter should be born at home. Not only did she have the support of her husband and midwife, but her three golden retrievers did not leave her side during the exceptional situation. A video of the birth has now gone viral on social media .

The British woman's daughter was born last October. She rented a special birthing pool, which was inflated and filled with water in the middle of her living room.

While her favorite films were playing on the TV, the British woman lay relaxed in the warm water as the contractions brought her closer and closer to her baby .

It wasn't just her husband and a midwife who looked after the still-pregnant woman; her three golden retrievers , Lily, Boris and Darcy, were particularly supportive of their mistress.

"Lily always turned up and looked after me when I needed her most. Just like she always did," the dog owner recalls on Instagram. Her other two four-legged friends were also constantly nearby, as if they wanted to make sure she was okay.

Then the big moment arrived and the baby was born underwater.

As the British woman had previously wished, her husband Aaron was the first to pick up the little girl and reveal her gender, which was still unknown at the time. He then placed the baby on her chest for bonding. "I relive this moment over and over again, forever one of the most special, supreme experiences I/we will ever have," said the new mother.

Shortly after the baby saw the light of day, golden retriever Darcy ran to grab a towel and offer it to his parents. "How did he know she needed a towel?" asks the owner, still touched.

The British woman described the experience as a "dream birth", although she still had to be taken to hospital a few hours later because an operation was necessary due to a complication. "But I completely separate that (in my mind) from the birth and still feel so lucky that I was able to give birth to our baby on our little farm, surrounded by peace, our animals and nature."

The fact that her dogs stood by her so sweetly and, according to the mother, were the "most well-behaved, gentle boys and girls", is a great stroke of luck for her. "I really don't deserve them," says the dog owner. The emotional birth story has been viewed more than 5.2 million times on TikTok .
