Woman comes home and sees dog grinning: when she looks behind him, she realizes why

USA - This face says it all: apparently sensing that he was about to get into big trouble, this four-legged friend from the USA resorted to his strongest weapon and put on a sweet smile, which he probably hoped would distract from his misdeed ...

Mongrel "Kenny" from the USA caused a lot of chaos in his home. The four-legged friend therefore greeted his owner with a rueful grin.

Jenna Coopalino from the USA came home to her dogs that day unsuspectingly when she suddenly found herself in the middle of chaos: a complete upholstered cushion on her sofa had been dismantled into its individual parts. Scraps of fabric, pieces of foam and filling material were scattered all over the living room.

The culprit was not far away either, as the German shepherd pit bull mix called "Kenny" was sitting right in front of the mess, which naturally made him even more suspicious.

Nevertheless, he tried to cover up his naughty action and grinned almost desperately at his owner.

Jenna, who certainly wasn't exactly thrilled about the destroyed sofa cushion, didn't forget the mess, but couldn't really be angry with her mongrel at that moment.

Sensing that other people might also find the dog's rueful reaction funny, Jenna shared the hilarious moment as a video on TikTok .

Seven million clicks later, it's clear that she struck a chord with viewers with her recording. "He's trying to tell you he didn't do it, I swear," says one amused user.

Dogs use grins as a sign of submissiveness

According tothe "Sprichhund-Netzwerk", the so-called submissive grin in dogs actually serves to appease them. Just like Kenny the mongrel, the four-legged friends pull their lips back long, their eyes become slit-shaped and their teeth are bared. The ears are also pinned back and the gaze is repeatedly averted.

Licking over the mouth is also a typical sign of the "submissive grin".
