It's hard to resist the loyal gaze of a four-legged friend in distress. For this reason, the Australians did not go home alone.

"We spontaneously brought our puppy home from the animal shelter," the TikToker with the username "thealtylife" let her followers know.

But that's not all: the young woman also posted a video showing her cuddling with her furry friend. The Australian is overjoyed as she holds the puppy in her arms, kisses him on the head and strokes his bright fur.

The little four-legged friend seems to be enjoying his new owner's affection to the full, sticking his tongue out at her and blinking with happiness.

According to Newsweek, the Australians had no idea that the puppy would completely change the couple's lives. Nevertheless, the couple wouldn't want to be without their little furry friend.

"We've fallen in love with this guy," wrote the TikToker.

The video of the cute four-legged friend has had more than 150,000 views and around 15,000 likes so far.

"There's nothing like rescuing an animal," was one of the many comments.
