Two golden retrievers as babysitters? These videos divide the net

USA - Little Jace from the USA gets to live in an environment that most parents would probably wish for their children. Sierra Lewis' son is growing up with two dogs. While the US-American proudly documents this on social media, not all viewers are happy about the situation.

Watching the videos of Sierra Lewis, you'd think little Jace lives with two furry brothers or just has the cutest babysitters by his side.

Two videos on his proud mom's TikTok profile show snippets of the family's everyday life, with dogs named River and Nash constantly by the boy's side.

Whether cuddling, discovering the world or playing: The golden retrievers have always been very close to Jace since he was born.

Many users can hardly get enough of the unlikely trio and are happy for Jace, who can already call such loyal friends his own at just under a year old. The benefits for the toddler's health are also praised.

However, critical voices are raised under one clipin particular , pointing out to the mother the potential risks that dogs pose in a household with children.

Because even if the four-legged friends in the videos always look loving and relaxed, in the end they are animals with a mind of their own.

"Please never leave them alone, no matter how well behaved or trained they are, it's not worth the risk, I promise," warns one user. Another is of a similar opinion and writes: "This worries me. Your dogs may be angels on earth but never just leave them like that, the child is too small to be left in that situation."

Mother Sierra sees these comments as pure scaremongering. She explains that River and Nash are "well behaved" and that little Jace "couldn't upset them". The TikToker also doesn't want to see any signs of possible dominant behavior. The four-legged friends would "definitely" love the boy.

Nevertheless, even though dogs can have a very positive influence on children, parents should always keep a watchful eye on their four-legged friends and prefer not to leave their offspring alone with them.
