Shower becomes "absolute hell" for dachshund: dog's reaction splits the net
Germany - Dachshundsare considered bright, curious and sometimes wild dogs . But when they come into contact with water, they often show a completely different side. Little Tyson was no exception! When he is given a shower - apparently for the first time - the four-legged friend reacts anything but enthusiastically.

Tyson only saw the light of day last year. Since then, he has been working with his owner to become an animal star on social media.
Now the dachshund has scored his first viral hit! In February, a video was uploaded to his TikTok page showing the dog being thoroughly showered by his owner.
Both his reaction and the comments added by his owner were responsible for the online success. "Whatever that spray thing was, I hope I'm spared that in the future," wrote Tyson's dog dad about the recording from his pet's perspective.
The video shows the man lifting his little dog into the shower, taking off his collar, getting him wet, soaping him up and showering him off. Tyson is obviously going through a colorful mix of emotions.
At first, he looks around curiously and sniffs around. But as soon as he comes into contact with the shower water, his good mood disappears. He puts on a puzzled dachshund look and keeps trying to slurp away the water running down him.

Laundry becomes "absolute hell" for Tyson
"Normally I'm not allowed in the bathroom and then, strangely enough, Dad let me in," Tyson's master comments on the video from his dog's perspective. The shower was "absolute hell", but in the end he smelled reasonably good, he admits.
Within a few weeks, the clip from Germany had already been viewed 1.3 million times. Around 85,000 users have also left a like. But there were also some critical voices in the comments, explaining that you don't actually need to shower a dachshund.
Tyson's owner did not reveal why the beauty program was necessary at all, but he did explain why his dog is not normally allowed in the bathroom: "He likes to feel too comfortable on the bath mats and then lets loose," explained the self-proclaimed dog dad.
