Master comes home: what his Golden Retriever does in response delights so many

Los Angeles (California) - You have to achieve that first: for around a week now, golden retriever girl Kiwi from Los Angeles has been melting hearts on TikTok . The reason for this is quite simply the way she greets her owner in a video.

At the beginning of the viral hit, which was recorded by a pet camera, the young furry friend is sitting in her dog gate. When she hears the front door slam shut, she immediately jumps up and looks expectantly towards the hallway.

Kiwi's gestures quickly show that she sees her master coming towards her. Her tail is wagging like crazy and she can hardly contain herself.

Finally, her owner opens the cage door and sits down on the floor, whereupon the Golden Retriever jumps happily into his lap. Now there is plenty of cuddling. The subtitle says: "Nothing can beat this after work."

Apparently, many TikTok users think so too. Because the work has now racked up 4.4 million clicks and more than 600,000 likes.

In an interview with Newsweek this week, master Marshall (23) even went one better.

"That's how she reacts when she sees us, even if it's only been ten minutes," the proud owner told the US magazine. In reality, he is not Kiwi's number 1.

"What I love most about her reaction is that she makes me feel like I'm the favourite, even though she actually idolizes my girlfriend," he admitted.

The 23-year-old is all the more pleased about the great response to his curious clip. In the comments section, many dog owners share how well they know and can empathize with the situation.

"I just thought it was a cute moment to share on TikTok," says Marshall. He definitely hit the mark with this assessment!
