Man wants to show Golden Retriever his new home: What the puppy does next makes everyone laugh

England - They have only known each other for a few days. But from the very first moment, puppy Dug has been putting his new owners in a great mood. A viral TikTok video from last week proves that the British and the golden retriever are no longer alone.

All beginnings are hard - even for Dug, his owner Jack English and his mistress Hollie Patchett (26). The curious video shows the moment when the cute dog enters his new home in England.

But there's a problem: instead of stepping over the threshold, the puppy stubbornly refuses. He would rather be back on his owner's lap. He has his hands full trying to move the furry friend towards the hallway.

English looks several times into the camera set up especially for the moment, behind which his girlfriend is standing. Finally, he manages to guide Dug there and close the front door.

Then it happens: now that the golden retriever is there, he can mark his territory. And that's exactly what the dog does: he happily pees all over the laminate floor.

This not only goes down very well with his owners - they laugh heartily - but also with the TikTok audience.

The video has received more than 600,000 clicks in the first four days since it was published. While most can have a laugh with the new dog owners, some warn that Dug is scared at the moment and therefore pees on the floor.

"He's anything but scared! He's in charge now," owner Hollie Patchett brushed aside the concerns in a recent interview with Newsweek.

In addition, Dug is now very "relaxed and happy" - even pulling is working better. He "even warns us when he has to pee at the back door", the 26-year-old told the US magazine.

The success of her clip is nevertheless unexpected for the Englishwoman: "I didn't think the video would be so well received (...) I only wanted to record it for ourselves to watch later. But I thought it would be nice to share it because it's so cute."
