Insidious diversionary maneuver: Thieves kidnap puppies from pet shop
Colorado (USA) - A man suddenly collapses in a pet shop in the US state of Colorado. But it was just a decoy so that someone else could pounce on the puppies .

According to a statement from the local police , the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office, the robbery occurred last Sunday afternoon at around 1.30 p.m. (local time).
In a surveillance video, which the officers later published on X , you can see the interior of the Perfect Pets pet shop, where several customers and two sales assistants are standing.
Suddenly, it appears that a man who had just been standing at the checkout faints. The other customers in the store and the sales clerks immediately rush to the man to see if he has hurt himself.
But another supposed customer in the store keeps his distance. He doesn't seem to be interested in what is happening to the person on the floor, he is only interested in one thing: the puppies in their enclosures.
So he walks slowly but purposefully towards the cage in which the bulldog puppies are housed. As they are particularly valuable (according to the police, a puppy costs 4299 dollars, the equivalent of around 4100 euros), the enclosure is fitted with a plastic lid and lock.
The man rips open the lid and grabs two of the little animals.
In this video you can see how the perpetrators carry out their perfidious plan
The sales clerks notice the terrible deed and try to restrain the man. They manage to make the dog thief stumble, but he also drops the poor puppies, which hit the floor with full force.
The man then breaks away from the sales clerks, grabs the two puppies, which are still lying on the floor, and flees.

Woman recognizes stolen puppy at a street sale

In the meantime, the man who had apparently fainted has woken up again and then runs out of the store. So it was all just a perfidious diversionary maneuver!
According to the police, a third party was also involved, who then helped the two to escape. The police have since been able to catch one of the three, but there is no trace of the other two.
But there is one piece of good news: yesterday, Tuesday, the police reported that a puppy had been found. A woman bought it for 1500 dollars (the equivalent of around 1430 euros) in a street sale.
When she saw the news about the stolen puppy and noticed that it looked exactly like the two on TV, she immediately called the police.
The pet shop is overjoyed that at least one of the two puppies is back and would now like to compensate the finder for her crime.
