In the middle of the fire zone around Los Angeles: Dog abandoned in the mountains

California (USA) - "A miracle in the mountains." With these words, Suzette Hall introduced her latest post on Facebook to talk about an extraordinary dog rescue operation.

"Mountain lions, coyotes, bobcats. The winds reached 55 miles per hour (88 km/h, ed.) at times, and the residents were on fire watch. And in the middle of it all, this little girl was trying to survive."

Hall's heart still aches when she thinks back on it.

Previously, someone had simply abandoned the little dog in the middle of the mountains. And this despite the fact that several fires are currently causing chaos in Los Angeles County. Completely incomprehensible to the animal rights activist.

She immediately set to work to help the four-legged friend. And it was clear to her from the start: giving up was not an option!

However, the rescue operation turned out to be difficult. "Every time someone tried to help her, she ran for her life," the animal rescuer continued. People seemed to scare the fur nose to death.

In the end, it took a whole four days. Hall and her staff were on hand around the clock to keep an eye on the dog.

And lo and behold. After several hours of Hall and her helpers lying in wait and talking to God, it finally happened: shortly after midnight, the dog was caught.

Bitch needs an operation

Without further ado, Hall got her into her car - and then the American stepped on the gas.

"I drove as fast as I could. My car was shaking in the wind. I could hardly believe it, I was so grateful to God. He heard my prayers. He took care of her," she continues.

She then took the dog to the vet. The four-legged friend's paws were full of blood. "She had to be operated on."

Fortunately, she survived the operation without any complications. Now it is up to Hall to find a loving forever basket for her youngest protégé. Until then, however, the dog is in the best of hands with her.
