USA - It is a heartbreaking fate that a bulldog had to suffer: she was simply abandoned with a serious eye injury!

As People reported, the dog was found in an alley in the US state of Texas last Wednesday.

Animal welfare officers found the little furry friend in a "remarkably poor condition" and with a painful eye injury. The four-legged friend was also "severely emaciated and covered in urine and feces".

The bulldog was quickly taken to a veterinary clinic, where it was discovered that it had a purulent abscess and a severe infection in its right eye. This had to be surgically removed immediately.

Surveillance footage of the scene shows a person pulling up in a car, dropping the dog off and simply driving away while the frightened animal barked and appeared to be limping.

Unfortunately, the suspect has not yet been found, but the police are doing everything they can to trace him.

Nevertheless, the investigators stated: "Despite her difficult circumstances, there is hope. We believe that once the eye is removed and the infection treated, she will be able to heal and begin a new chapter in her life - one in which she can experience the joy of a normal existence."
