Bay Area (USA) - Dead tired, but not missing anything: A sleepy puppy from California enchants thousands of users on Instagram and yet he basically does nothing - except be tired!

Just like human babies, puppies need a lot more sleep than their adult counterparts. Although the little four-legged friends can sometimes display quite a lot of energy and cause a lot of commotion for their owners, it's usually time for a break afterwards.

Puppy "Olly" from California has obviously also had a pretty exciting day and would actually be ready for a dog bed - if it weren't for this one thing.

The cute golden retriever is apparently afflicted with so-called "FOMO".

The abbreviation stands for "Fear of missing out" and means that those affected are afraid of missing something.

Olly's owners believe this also applies to their puppy, writing on the Instagram page "Olly the Golden Retriever": "When you're so tired and can barely keep your eyes open, but don't want to miss anything of your parents because you love them more than life itself."

She also published a cute clip showing the golden retriever sitting on a couch. You can see that the four-legged friend is really incredibly exhausted and can barely contain himself from tiredness.

The video has already been clicked on more than 206,000 times on Instagram and is causing delight among viewers: "Awww, you're so cute," says one user. Another says: "Awww, you can go to sleep, buddy, they'll cuddle you."

After the clip, Olly no doubt drifted off straight into the land of dreams and was able to recover from his long puppy day. Master and mistress sum up the situation well: "We never have enough time with the ones we love, so make the most of every moment. 🫶🏻⏰"
