Golden retriever mix gets jealous of cat and makes crazy decision
USA - Yes, animals can get jealous too - and how! Unlike us humans, however, they express this through actions rather than pouting or nasty words. Golden retriever mix "Darrel" also became jealous when he realized that his cat sister was allowed to play with her owner. To put a stop to this as quickly as possible, he made a crazy decision without further ado. Fortunately, his owner captured this on camera for us all.

Owner Hailey Adair from the USA loves practising tricks with her animals - including two adopted shelter dogs and a tabby cat. Jumping on their owner's back seems to be a particularly important part of the daily lesson.
On that day, too, the three animals were literally queuing up to finally be allowed to jump on Hailey's back. Before it was mongrel Darrel's turn, the family's kitten was allowed to try out the trick first.
After the velvet paw had tentatively climbed onto the American's back from the kitchen counter, four-legged Darrel was already peering impatiently around the corner. He obviously didn't like the fact that the cat was allowed to practise first. He therefore decided without further ado to jump in front.
Without warning, the jealous golden retriever mix jumped onto his owner's back, forcing his cat sister to flee.

Hailey's surprise was written all over her face when suddenly the much heavier dog was perched on her back. "Oh my God, what happened?" the dog's owner asked her husband, who was recording the video, puzzled.
And Darrel? He made himself comfortable on her back and looked almost proudly into the camera.
Even though the four-legged friend's stunt looked a little rough, "neither cats nor people were hurt", assures Hailey on TikTok , where the video was published. The clip has now been clicked on more than 2.7 million times.
In an interview with Seattle Refined back in 2021, Darrel's owner explained that her dog has developed a passion for all kinds of sports. In addition to skateboarding and basketball, the four-legged friend also loves field hockey. That's why he was even invited to appear on Jimmy Fallon's well-known TV show.
