Golden retriever meets baby cat: Feelgood clip makes hearts melt

Fort Worth (Texas) - Dark times, bright feel-good clips: if you want to take a short break from the stresses of everyday life, golden retriever Lucy and baby cat Nugget are the right people for you. A new video featuring the animal dream team has been melting hearts by the dozen for a few days now. The reason is a tender look back at how the two got to know each other.

US American Pearl from Fort Worth, Texas, uploaded the cute clip to TikTok last week. In it, the kitten and the dog are mainly seen cuddling.

But viewers also get to see a few smaller "experiments". In one scene, the little cat pats the golden retriever's ear and seems to want to examine it.

In another scene, he suddenly jumps in front of Lucy's nose, but she remains unperturbed. No wonder: the dog has to get along with a total of eleven cats in her home.

But she only has such an intense relationship with one of them. "Nugget loves Lucy just like his mother," her owner proudly writes in the commentary.

But if you take a look at her other videos, you quickly realize that a little help was given here.

Eleven cats can be a challenge even for the most relaxed Golden Retriever . And so Lucy shows a different side in some of the videos.

For example, she growls annoyed at the playing cats at one point, but leaves shortly afterwards. In another TikTok video, even Nugget gets his comeuppance. Owner Pearl, herself the mother of a daughter, comments that Nugget probably likes Lucy better than the other way around.

Curious detail: this is a longer version of a scene that can also be seen in the Feelgood video. Only this time Lucy seems a lot more annoyed at the end.

All in all, however, the good mood prevails: more than 400,000 clicks have been generated in the first week since its release.
