Dogs heartlessly abandoned: What happens next almost puts a spanner in the works for the rescuer
California (USA) - What a sad sight: Three small dogs were simply abandoned in a backyard in the US state of California.

"They stuck together like glue," animal rescuer Suzette Hall has since explained in a Facebook post, sharing a few pictures of her youngest charges. "They had nothing but each other."
Fortunately, Mysi Anne Grubbe, a friend of Hall's, became aware of the pelt-noses and knew immediately that she had to help them. After all, the four-legged friends - two female dogs and one male dog - had already been on their own for several days.
So Grubbe pulled out her phone and informed Hall about the little strays. And together they set off as quickly as possible.
Unfortunately, there were a few small problems during the subsequent rescue operation: "They were scared and as soon as we tried to catch them, they ran away," explained the American.
What's more, unlike usual, Hall only had one trap with her. The reason: the other one had recently been stolen from her.

Dogs are finally safe after rescue operation

However, this did not stop the animal rescuer. Instead of catching the three strays all at once, they took care of them one by one. And all they needed was a little incentive for the dogs.
"They were really hungry, so the hot dogs smelled particularly good to them," explained Hall.
One by one, the frightened four-legged friends climbed into the cage before the two women carefully stowed them away in a transport box.
"After I put them all in, they immediately cuddled up to each other again [...]. These sweet little babies will never have to sit in that alley again," Hall continued.
The three furry friends were then taken to the vet before Hall set out to find a suitable foster family for the dogs.
