Dog bites young woman to death: police identify 19-year-old

Bristol (England) - Tragic death! A 19-year-old girl has lost her life to dog bites in Bristol, England. The police have now identified the dead teenager as Morgan Dorsett.

The young woman was attacked by an XL Bully in an apartment on Cobhorn Drive at around 7.20 p.m. local time. Although police officers and paramedics arrived promptly at the scene, the British woman died there and then, reports The Guardian.

An investigation is now underway against a man and a woman in their twenties. Both are accused of neglecting the care of their dog to such an extent that an "injury resulting in death" occurred.

Both must now also answer for possession of a prohibited dog breed. After being briefly arrested, the couple were released on bail.

The animal that caused the 19-year-old's death with its bites had to be euthanized.

According to the police , the victim's family thanked the public for their sympathy, in particular all those who had laid flowers near the scene of the crime.

Did Megan Dorsett suffer an epileptic seizure?

Otherwise, law enforcement officials remained tight-lipped about exactly how the crime occurred. "A full investigation is currently underway to determine the full circumstances of the events that led to her death," neighborhood inspector Terry Murphy is quoted as saying.

According to the Daily Mail, neighbors have spread the rumor that the deceased woman was epileptic, suffered a seizure and fell towards the four-legged friend, causing it to attack her. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
