Dog and baby melt millions of hearts: What parents say explains it all
Utah (USA) - What a heart-warming sight: Australian Shepherd Dusty sits with baby Lucy (7 months), giving her a bottle in a highly professional manner, which he skillfully holds in his mouth. The video is very popular on Instagram. But there are many reasons for this, as Lucy's parents have now revealed.

The clip went online on Instagram at the end of March and has since garnered more than two million clicks. Naturally, such a sweet sight begs the question as to whether a little "help" was given.
But Jeff and Emily Mabey from Utah have a different explanation for the viral hit. The parents of five children raved about their four-legged friend this week.
"Dusty is the best dog a family could ask for," said mom Emily in an interview with Newsweek. "He came to us when my husband and I came back from our honeymoon and has helped us raise our five children," she added.
But where does so much talent come from? A look into Dusty's past sheds some light.

Because the Australian Shepherd is far more than just a normal dog - and its owners far more than just an ordinary master and mistress. The two are professional dog breeders who have many other Australian Shepherds in addition to their beloved male dog.
Meanwhile, eleven-year-old Dusty can look back on an impressive career. He has had therapy assignments in children's hospitals, taken part in competitions and dog shows and has even appeared in several commercials.
"He has admirers all over the world for his friendly, loving and sweet nature," Emily told the US magazine. However, she and her family are not interested in the clicks.
"We just love to bring joy and smiles to our followers and people around the world. Social media can often be negative and depress people, but we strive to post content that makes people happy," she explained.
