Ohio (USA) - If you still think cats are harmless creatures, you should watch this video featuring tomcat Milo and golden retriever Beckham from Ohio! Because unlike his animal roommate, the house cat is more than cunning and sneaky.

The "evidence" went viral simultaneously on Instagram and TikTok in mid-January. In it, tomcat Milo first lures the golden retriever into his kennel by sitting in it.

As soon as the male dog is with the cat , the cat retreats. While Beckham makes himself comfortable, Milo briefly keeps eye contact with him outside the cage.

Then he goes to the cage door and slowly nudges it shut with his nose. The golden retriever watches the cat at work, somewhat taken aback, but makes no move to stop him.

After all, the door is completely closed. Beckham could push it open again at any time, because Milo can't lock it. But he doesn't.

In a subtitle, the pelt-noses' mistress reveals how this happens.

"Our dog isn't the brightest and he thinks he's trapped even when the door isn't even completely closed," says owner Erika.

The cunning cat knows how to take advantage of the golden retriever's somewhat loyal behavior. As soon as Beckham is in the trap, the velvet paw heads towards his owner to get a few cuddles undisturbed.

"He doesn't like sharing me with the dog," is Erika's logical conclusion in the video subtitle. But while Beckham has to suffer from the cat's misdeeds, users can enjoy themselves all the more.

On TikTok, the curious video has received more than eleven million clicks and 1.5 million likes since January 18.

It has been doing even better on Instagram since the same day. Milo's owner can even boast 13.2 million clicks there.
