Brave man jumps into icy river to save drowning dog!
Washington County (Vermont, USA) - A daring man has saved the life of a dog that fell into a freezing cold river in the US state of Vermont !

As theNew York Post writes, Chris MacRitchie didn't hesitate for a second on Friday afternoon (local time) in Berlin, Vermont. His son had spotted a dog in the Winooski River as the two of them drove through the drive-through of a Dunkin' Donuts.
Once on the riverbank, his father immediately went to the rescue. A video posted on social media shows how the brave man, dressed in a T-shirt and jogging bottoms, climbs into the river, wades to the poor four-legged friend and pulls him out.
"The only stressful thing for me wasn't going into the cold water. It was the depth. I didn't know if it was 20 feet or 2 feet deep," MacRitchie said. "When I broke through and got to my feet and it was about waist deep, I was actually relieved."

As the frozen animal's dog tag had a telephone number on it, its owners were quickly located. They were more than happy to be able to re-home their lost seven-year-old mongrel called Arizona.
