This brutal case of animal cruelty took place in the Thai city of Nakhon Ratchasima, north of the capital Bangkok. On Thursday, the 35-year-old was fined by a court .

The dog-hater tied the four-month-old puppy to his motorized two-wheeler with a leash and dragged the animal about 600 meters behind him, as the"Bangkok Post" reported on Friday.

The accused testified before the judge that he wanted to take revenge on his friend, with whom he had previously quarrelled, by committing this inconceivable atrocity. His innocent pet was the victim.

Video footage from the animal welfare organization "Watchdog Thailand Foundation" shows how the four-legged friend can only limp after the end of the ordeal. His little paws are completely covered in blood.

The motorcyclist would probably have dragged the puppy across the road to its agonizing death if passers-by had not intervened. In the video, it looks as if two women slowed down the perpetrator with their car and forced him to stop.

While the injured dog was put up for adoption and now has a new home, the 35-year-old was fined the equivalent of 260 euros for his inhumane act of revenge.
