Recently, animal lover Tania Verbeeck from Australia shared a sugar-sweet video that is sure to melt hearts.

It shows Tania's dog Flash sitting on the beach in a well-behaved manner. What the dog doesn't yet know is that her biological sister Scout, who she hasn't seen for a year, is already waiting less than 100 meters away.

Suddenly the dog's owner gives the command to run off and Flash dashes off. When she sees her sister, there is no stopping her. Like lightning, Flash dashes to her lost sister. The pelt-noses recognize each other immediately and start to romp around happily.

In a moment of calm, Flash comes back to her owner, jumps up and puts her paws on her tummy. With her happiest dog smile, Flash looks deep into Tania's eyes as if to say: "Thank you, human!"

The heart-warming video has already been viewed more than 500,000 times on TikTok and has been commented on countless times.

Dog owner Tania tells Newsweek how the emotional reunion came about.

"They were breeding dogs on a puppy farm," she explains. Throughout their lives, the two dogs had only known dog breeding and had given birth to many litters. Tania then asked the breeder if she could adopt a bitch when she retired.

"They initially offered me Scout, as she was a social dog and better suited to the city, whereas Flash was a very timid dog," Tania recalls. "But I fell head over heels in love with Flash."

The dog breeder agreed to let Tania have the dog. But Flash still had two litters to go. Only then was Tania allowed to take Flash home, while Scout remained lonely.

Then a miracle happened. A colleague at work was toying with the idea of adopting a dog, reports Tania. "I sent them a video of Flash and told them that there was another one that looked just like him." A few days later, Scout had also found a new home.

And it gets even better: Scout's family lives less than 25 minutes away from Tania. "They now see each other as often as possible," says Tania happily. The two dogs still get on brilliantly and are now making up for lost time.
