Florida (USA) - Overslept? Not at all. At least when it comes to kitten Maisy.

In a cute video on TikTok , Ashley Moffit (27) recently shared a snapshot of her life - and it went viral within a few days.

The young woman can be seen lying in her bed, completely sleepy. Her alarm clock, which has a sunrise function, has just rung. But instead of switching it off, Moffit had pressed snooze. As she has done so often recently.

As her little cat usually doesn't find this funny at all, the 27-year-old wanted to record her pet's reaction - and set up her camera to do so.

And, as you might expect, she was not at all amused by the alarm clock's "ring again later" function.

Unimpressed, she sits next to her owner's head and looks at her for a while. When she realizes that Moffit is not going to get up by herself, she lifts her paw and gently nudges her. Over and over again.

"I'll never be able to say I overslept again," joked Moffit in the comments.

The clip has now been viewed more than 2.3 million times and users have reacted enthusiastically. Especially how gently Maisy treats Moffit.

"My [cat] would have just walked straight over my face," joked one user.

The 27-year-old finally explained to the news portal Newsweek how her kitty's curious habit came about: "She knows when [the alarm clock] goes off, I usually get up. So she gently nudges my face when I don't."

And isn't that always nicer than being woken up for the second time by an annoying beeping?
