A hilarious video published by the cat owner on her TikTok channel "kristiinawilson" shows how some of the velvet paws leave the litter tray and sprint through the entire house.

Several objects are broken in the process. In the end, the cats even crash into the wall of the house before slowly calming down again.

What caused the pets to run at such high speed? Had the kittens seen something that frightened them?

Kristiina, who loves cats more than anything and therefore owns 13 of them, told Newsweek that her house, which is located in a wooded area in the US state of Connecticut, is often visited by wild animals.

She even believes that her property is on a bear trail and that a very specific black bear therefore drops by from time to time.

In the clip, this bear turns out to be the cause of the startled cats . "For some reason, the bear loves to walk on our patio," Kristiina said.

Her video went viral on TikTok and prompted numerous viewers to comment.

The ruckus caused Kristiina to interrupt her work in the kitchen and investigate. Then she saw the bear from inside and watched it run along the railing of the terrace.

"Normally the cats don't care, they don't let themselves be disturbed," said the pet owner. "I don't know why they were so freaked out this time." The predator was probably suddenly visible at one of the windows, which gave the cats a fright.

Many viewers on TikTok commented on the viral video and were thrilled by the cats' dramatic escape.

"Honestly, I would react the same way," wrote one user, while another added: "I love how the other cats just seem to think 'oh, what the heck'."
