Minnesota (USA) - Milo the cat keeps letting his owner know what he thinks of her meals - and not in the most polite way.

With his TikTok channel "milothecritic", the picky cat has already become a minor star on social media.

The videos clearly show that Milo is far from eating everything he is offered. If his owner Tammy holds out a fork with a sample, the velvet paw likes to react with a conspicuous gagging.

Tammy, who lives in Minnesota, told Newsweek: "It's interesting that he's gained such a following. I just posted his videos on my personal Facebook account and I had a handful of friends who insisted I create a TikTok profile for him."

Whether it's soup, chicken, enchilada or macaroni and cheese, Milo doesn't seem at all convinced by his owner's delicacies.

Tammy can only delight her spoiled cat with a few specialties such as roast beef. But is the cat really as picky ashe seems?

Tammy told her followers: "Milo's reaction may seem exaggerated, but it's completely normal as cats use their olfactory organ on the palate to process odors. It's not extremely common, but it's not extremely rare either. The funniest thing about it is that he often eats the very thing that makes him gag in the first place."

So Milo is nowhere near as spoiled as the clips on TikTok make him out to be. "He usually eats any cat-friendly food, but he usually has to smell it first, stroke it and lick his paw," says Tammy.

Only when Milo is one hundred percent sure that he will like the food does he start to enjoy his meal.
