When mother Angela Minichilli pulled out her smartphone in the morning and pressed "record", she already knew what was going to happen. Because this scene plays out every morning during the week:

When Angela's children set off for school, they are not alone. Every morning, Leo the cat accompanies the pupils out the front door and to the street, where the two children then get on the school bus.

A video shows Leo sitting patiently on the snow-covered driveway and making sure that his two human siblings have really got on the bus and are safe.

Only when the school bus starts moving again and the cat's task is complete does the animal leave its position and return to the warm house.

"Your cat thinks he's a dog and waits every morning for the kids to get on the bus," writes mother Angela about her clip, which has been viewed a whopping 28 million times.

You could almost call Leo an animal nanny, who gets up early in the morning despite the cold and snow, goes to the door and sees the schoolchildren off. "He makes sure he's there for them every morning 🥺", says the Canadian on TikTok.
