A pet owner named Bren took home the smallest kitten in a litter - hoping it would stay small because of its tiny size.

His video published on the TikTok channel "thezenbren" showed the opposite of what Bren had hoped for.

He had actually expected his new white kitten Nimbus to stay small forever, as she was considered the "runt of the litter". Given her initially tiny size, it was not to be expected that Nimbus would become a giant cat.

In fact, however, the cat's development was quite different: she grew surprisingly fast and became very plump. The clip shows her impressive transformation - from a small kitten to an overweight and cuddly "cloud".

In the video, Nimbus initially sits on Bren's shoulder. Her tiny body fits on it with all four paws without falling off. However, Bren then shows how much Nimbus has grown.

Many viewers reacted enthusiastically and lovingly to the viral clip, but also warned that the cat's weight had now reached a threatening level.

On TikTok , most viewers couldn't believe the difference between day and night with Nimbus and called the cat a "wonderfully robust marshmallow" or a "cloud".

One user joked: "It's not a loaf of bread, it's the whole bakery." Another person commented, "When dwarf cats are loved and pampered, they get huge and it's wonderful."

But Bren also received criticism for his video - he had obviously spoiled Nimbus too much. Its current appearance borders on obesity and the cat urgently needs a diet, some users demanded.
