Looked at the books too long? Cross-eyed kitten thrown out of library without a home
Fredericksburg (USA) - Pepper the cat was practically part of the inventory of a library in the US state of Texas and was loved by visitors and employees alike. But the district didn't think that was funny at all and simply put her out on the street.

Pepper is just five months old and apparently all alone in the world. A few months ago, the stray made herself at home in the Pioneer Memorial Library in Fredericksburg and was introduced on Facebook as the busiest worker.
With her slight squint, she quickly cast a spell over both the staff and users of the library; she simply belonged there and felt right at home in the world of books.
However, this was probably a thorn in the side of the authorities, as the district recently decided that the kitten should not be allowed to stay there.
Sad, considering that she might have been threatened with a life as a street cat. So she was temporarily taken to the Hill County SPCA, also in Fredericksburg, where she continued to enchant everyone.
From the library to your own home - lucky cat Pepper

Nevertheless, the young feline felt quite at home there. "Although I miss my quiet corners with books, I have settled in wonderfully in my temporary home here at the shelter," wrote the animal rights activists on her behalf on Facebook a week ago.
Pepper, with her "gentle heart and lovely nature", was still looking for her happy - and she was to find it.
"Get ready for a happy ending worthy of its own chapter!" the shelter finally wrote two days ago, announcing on the same day that the velvet paw had found her forever home with a family with two daughters.
After being thrown out of the library, she had taken the hearts of all users by storm and so it was easy to find a new home for her. A happy ending!
